Procon is very excited to announce the launch of our new podcast “The Build Up.” The show will be hosted by Procon Consulting President and Co-Founder Kyu Jung. It will cover a range of topics relevant to the construction industry from new technology innovations, to advice for young professionals just starting out in their careers, and how we can play a role in building a more sustainable future.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” said Kyu Jung. “I’ve always felt that there was an opportunity to leverage the communication platforms available to us in order to bring the conversations I was already having with colleagues and industry partners to a broader audience. This is the kind of dialogue and information sharing I wish I had access to when I was starting my career and I hope the content we produce is a valuable resource to those entering the field.”
The first episode features Procon’s Director of Technology Steve DeVito. Kyu and Steve discuss 360 Progress Monitoring, a process where 360-degree images are taken throughout a construction site at each phase of the construction process to allow for immersive documentation and virtual monitoring of construction progress. It’s a technology that’s been implemented by Procon for years but proved especially useful during the pandemic when access to job sites was more restricted. The technology proved so beneficial that the General Services Administration has now rolled it out to its entire portfolio of projects after the initial pilot project.
Future episodes of The Build Up will be released monthly. The video version can be viewed on Procon’s YouTube channel and future episodes will also be available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
