The DC Department of General Services (DGS), the division that implements construction projects for District of Columbia agencies, has awarded Procon a five-year construction management contract. The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will provide DGS with a vehicle for CM services for construction and repair projects throughout the District including schools, emergency services facilities, parks and recreation facilities, and other government buildings. Procon’s strong CM experience on large government construction projects will be leveraged by its expertise in electronic project management (ePM) solutions as DGS fully implements its commitment to its ePM program. Although Procon has completed CM projects for other municipalities and multiple, large, federal projects in the District, the award of the DGS contract is Procon’s first contract with the District of Columbia.

Procon was awarded a five-year contract to provide construction management services to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Procon was one of three companies chosen to provide comprehensive construction quality management under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for construction projects on the Gaithersburg, Maryland campus. The NIST facility consists of over 36 buildings and includes a variety of laboratories and special use spaces. The award continues Procon’s commitment to providing superior construction management for large federal campuses and facilities including St. Elizabeths West Campus, the Nebraska Avenue Complex, and the Department of State properties. Founded in 1901, NIST is a non-regulatory federal agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Its mission is to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness.
